DPS International School, Singapore, was founded in 2004 with the objective of meeting a growing need of the Indian expatriate community for a world-class school that incorporates the best practices of Indian and western educational institutions. A growing demand for an international curriculum in addition to the one endorsed by the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) led to our accreditation from the CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and we introduced the IGCSE and the A Level curriculum with great success. Developing student leadership skills has been a key focus of the institution and in 2014 a Student Council was instituted in addition to the traditional School and House captaincies offered to students.
