A.K. Ghosh Memorial School
In 1968, the school was started in a small way and formally founded in November, 1970 by Late Dr. (Mrs.) Kamala Ghosh in a rented premise in Jodhpur Park. Mrs. Kamala Ghosh was a doctorate from Sheffield's, U.K. While she was in abroad, a little child lovingly called her Auntie Edith. She named the school Auntie Edith's School in memory of that little girl. It began with a few students and a group of committed teachers. Later it was renamed in memory of her Late husband Mr. Ajit Kumar Ghosh who was the Founder Secretary of the school.
